Best Friends
We were best friends for a long long time. We shared everything - long, meaningful conversations, inside jokes, major milestones, and quiet support. Everyone around us used to say, “You two are definitely going to end up together.” We laughed it off. We were sure we were better as friends.
Always There
We basically became permanent fixtures in each other’s stories. Family and friends knew about “that friend Damilola,” and the other already knew “Malik.” Even while we dated other people, we were each other’s constants - always there for each other.

Eventually, something changed. The friendship began to feel deeper, stronger - more like home. We finally stopped resisting and gave love a chance. The best part? We didn’t lose the friendship; it only grew stronger. Now, after years of being “just best friends,” we’re stepping into forever—still best friends, now partners, and soon… husband and wife. 💍
